Amy & Steven | Saltmarshe Hall Wedding

It’s safe to say that Amy & Steven had been a little nervous about the idea of being photographed for their Saltmarshe Hall wedding. We’d done an engagement shoot with them a few months prior and had put most fears at ease, but with the added pressure of actually having to get married, it’s can get on top of you a little!

They chose to get married at the stunning Saltmarshe Hall, it’s not too far away from us but is somewhere that we don’t find ourselves at a lot, which is a massive shame! This place is beautiful though, set right beside the river Ouse with the added bonus of being able to host your ceremony outdoors, what’s not to love!!

Amy got ready with her bridesmaids inside the hall itself, it’s so grand and decadent inside making it feel so special. She wore Pronovias, had her hair done by the incredible Lily Whitaker Hair and Amy did her makeup herself, beautifully!
Steven made sure that the final touches were just right, before heading to some cottages just down the round with the boys. He and the guys wore suits from Next, and they all looked amazing.

Amy & Steven chose to get married right underneath a beautiful row of trees inside the Saltmarshe gardens, it was just stunning! With vows exchanged, and literary words spoken, they said I do and moved on to celebrate! Their guests then drank, ate, thanks to the wonderful catering staff at the venue, and with added entertainment from Adam McCulloch. We then took them both away for a short while to get some photos together, with the added bonus of Darcy their dog! He looked so handsome!!

The wedding theme was based on books, so the couple chose some of their favourites as table names. Decor was also provided by Mad Philomena with a beautiful cake made by Where The Ribbon Ends. Speeches then followed with everyone sharing in some lovely words about the couple.

Cue surprise guests! Pukka Paccas brought along 2 of their beautiful alpacas for everyone to meet and have photos taken with! We might be bias as we had this on our wedding day, but they are amazing! Such wonderful creatures that have incredible characters! The sun then dropped low enough to get some sunset shots, which as you may be able to tell we LOVE doing!

The party ensued with the cutting of the cake, first dance and then everyone on the dance floor! It truly was a wonderful day that we thoroughly enjoyed. If you’re looking for a Saltmarshe Hall wedding photographer, do get in touch!
