That’s it! Another year done, 2018 went by in a flash, and we welcome 2019 with open arms! We still can’t quite believe that so many people entrust us to photograph one of the most important days of their lives, but it’s also not something we take lightly. When we sit down and look through what we’ve shot in the past 12 months, we appreciate the time, effort and indeed money that goes into wedding days. It’s incredible.

One particular (professional) highlight of the year was winning The Wedding Industry Award for best photographer in Yorkshire & the North East. Unlike other awards, this was voted completely by our clients from the previous 12 months. We can’t thank each of you enough for nominating/voting for us, and we’re completely humbled that you believe we do such a great job. It meant we got to travel down to London for an awards ceremony and go up against some of the best in the business. Unfortunately we didn’t quite win the national event, but to be benchmarked alongside people we admire and respect in the category was amazing.

On a personal note, we celebrated our own wedding in 2018. Neatly nestled between weddings in May, we had such an incredible day. If you’ve not seen some shots from it yet, they’re over on our Instagram highlights! We also moved into our new home, which again was pretty stressful having to organise between weddings, but we managed, just!

We’re looking forward to what 2019 has to bring, many more weddings, many more moments, and definitely many more memories to last a life time.
