EMILY & MATT | GREAT JOHN STREET HOTEL WEDDING

When Emily and Matt first got in touch with us about their Great John Street wedding in Manchester, we were so excited – they were planning a really fun and stylish wedding! We photographed Emily’s friends wedding, Sarah & Matt at Sefton Park, back in 2018 which was a really fun crowd. We couldn’t wait to shoot this wedding too!

Getting ready

Anii started shooting at Great John Street hotel, where the bride was getting ready, it was so chilled out and everyone was in full swing of getting ready. Chris headed over to the guys at Emily & Matt’s city centre flat which overlooked the city, and made for some nice portraits of the groomsmen as they relaxed and had a drink. Emily wore a Made With Love dress from Love Bridal Boutique and Matt wore TM Lewin suits and they both looked amazing!

Getting hitched

The wedding took place at Great John Street hotel, with it being legal ceremony Emily and Matt said their vows to each other but also had fun with it laughing all the way through. They had some beautiful readings, which everyone enjoyed and we used these for their video. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together and were showered with colourful confetti, then guests enjoyed canapés and drinks on the roof terrace. It was Easter weekend and the weather was super HOT! Such beautiful weather for an April wedding and amazing for a big rooftop party wedding.

For the wedding breakfast they had a BBQ buffet, which was absolutely delicious. After dinner they had some wonderful speeches, and then the couple had their EPIC first dance to AC/DC’s – “You Shook Me All Night Long” which got the dance floor ready for the rest of the evening! They also had a really lovely cheese cake made by Great John Street hotel which everyone loved.
