Roddy & Michelle | Rowan Tree Wedding

Back in July we photographed a really lovely Rowan Tree Wedding, which is in the heart of Edinburgh City. We have photographed at this venue before, and although it is very dark (you are photographing in a cave!) It is so atmospheric and cosy! Michelle & Roddy were such wonderful people and so fun to photograph, their day was perfect and we loved every minute of being there. It really does mean the world when we photograph people so grateful as they were – they even made us a little pack of Scottish things like Highland water, Scotland shortbread and Iron Bru! Michelle’s gorgeous dress was from Pretty Woman in Edinburgh and bridesmaid dress was from Debenhams.  The beautiful flowers were by Carolyn Designer Florist in Edinburgh and the stationary was by Hip Hip Hooray.  Michelle & Roddys very personal Rowan Tree Wedding celebration was conducted by Cathy Owen, from the Humanist Society. We loved that she came to see them both in the morning whilst they were getting ready to run through plans and run through signatures. We wish celebrants could legally marry couples in England too! The band in the evening was The Hustle who were really good and got everyone up dancing in the caves. We also shot a video of their wedding day along side their photography which Michelle knew nothing about!
